Apple Charger Burn Claims-Real or Fake

Probably all of you have seen this image of Apple chargers burning and melting; here is a post on X, in which a man claims that the adapter of the Apple charger, the cube, melted due to heating and burned his son’s finger. If you are an Apple user, this image might trigger a major concern within you. So what do you think, whether this image is fake or real?

Burned Apple Charger-Viral Image Claims Overheating Incident

There is also another video that was going around, a guy complaining about his new iPhone 15 Pro Max cable burning and melting, which caused a burn on his hands. In that video, he explains how it happened and his hopes for the iPhone 15 series. He was aware that the phone could head up when charged overnight, but when you inspect the video clearly and closely, you can see that the cable that he claimed to have burned isn’t an authentic Apple product. He might have used some copy of the Apple charger unknowingly or might have done this to reach attention on social media. The Apple chargers come up with cutting-edge technology and lead the techno world. To be more concise, the iPhone 15 comes with the A17 Pro chip, which has a 3-nanometer processor. The A17 Pro chip has twice the performance of the previous processor they used. So the point is, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are that innovative; they can handle up to 35 trillion operations per second. Many of these social media posts could be misleading and generate panic among users. The high chance is that these videos are fake.

However, Apple has also updated its safety warnings on its products, such as iPhones, Apple Watches, MacBooks, and iPads. It isn’t due to the lack of quality; Apple still ensures the quality they provide as they are made with high-quality materials, but by not charging the product correctly, they might put themselves in harm. I know All of you are familiar with the heating issues Apple might have. It is common that you are advised not to put your phone in charge overnight, but this is not what Apple warns you about. The warning is for the people who put the phone while charging near them; it could give the person even an electric shock. The exact wording from Apple is that “prolonged heat exposure can cause the battery to cause discomfort or injury.” This means you need to avoid situations where you have a power adapter or a wireless charger that is connected to a power source near you under the blanket or your pillow for a long period of time. This could lead to overheating, and accidents like fire or burn might happen. Why is it advised not to keep the phone or charger under the pillow due to the heating issue that all of you might be aware of? This heating issue needs ventilation, but when under a pillow or blanket, this overheating could lead to an accident. What you should do to prevent any of this from happening is by using the authentic product from Apple which is, the charging cable that comes with your iPhone and the authentic adapter that is made for iPhones, not any copy or cables with damages; that’s how you ensure your safety.
