Apple's M5 Ipad Pro Release Date

Apple has already announced the launch of the M4-powered Mac Pro Set by October 28, while new leaks regarding the launch of the M5 SoC are storming the internet. According to reports, Apple is likely to launch M5 SoC in the upcoming iPad Pro lineup arriving by the end of 2025.

Apple always offers its users more thrilling and unique features every year without compromising quality. With the upcoming release of the M4-powered Mac, rumors are spreading regarding the launch of the M5 SoC with the iPad Pro sets. According to Mark Gurman, the M5 SoC will launch by the end of 2025 which was previously expected a launch by 2023 along with A19 Pro. Since it has a history of fluctuating dates, nothing can be expected until an official announcement comes from Apple.

The M4 SoC which is to be launched on Monday, offers a faster performance of both single-core and multi-core and expects an increase of 20% from the previous version. According to the recently leaked speculations regarding the MacBook Pro, the M4 rolls over the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V offering a 60% hike in multi-core performance.

Instead of Mac, Apple released its M series silicon in iPads, indicating the strategy of the company to focus on efficiency rather than performance.

Though there is hardly any information regarding the features of M5, the chances of adopting TSMC’s small integrated circuit packaging and SoIC are high. By utilizing this package, better thermal management, decreased current leakage, and improved current performance can be achieved since it uses a three-dimensional chip design instead of two.

Other than Apple iPad Pro 8th generation the devices to use M5 SoC are iPad mini 7 and iPad 11th generation. Apple seems to bring numerous updates to iPads similar to iPhones and Macs.

What to expect in the iPad Pro 8th generation with M5 SoC?

Apple plans to launch the iPad Pro 8th generation by the end of 2025. Many speculate the new device will feature M5 SoC. Apart from a silicon SoC, the new iPad Pro seems to bring new features including design and specifications.

The M5 chip which is expected to power the new iPad Pro will be based on TSMC’s N3P processor, a renowned version of 3nm technology allowing improved performance in both CPU and GPU. M5 may also feature SoIC packaging offering improved thermal management and electrical performance.

Since the OLED technology used in the previous version was a great hit, the chances of following the same path are high. The two OLED panels used will improve performance and battery life. The storage configurations may include 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. A RAM of either 16 or 32 GB can be expected.

The new iPad Pro will feature Apple Intelligence with iPadOS 18. The external feature of the iPad Pro 8th generation could resemble previous versions with slim bezels and a flat-edge aluminum frame. To improve portability the size of the bezels can even be slimmer in the upcoming model.

The camera quality of the new device is also supposed to increase compared to the previous models, the rear camera is likely to feature an improved LiDAR system to support augmented reality. The front camera will be similar to the previous models, backing a Center Stage.

The new iPad is expected to come in two-sized displays, 11-inch and 13-inch with 120 Hz ProMotion allowing faster scrolling. Though the price of the product has not been confirmed yet, we can anticipate a similar price range as the previous models, $999 for 11-inch and $1299 for 13-inch models.
