Apple's Vision Pro

As per the latest announcement by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company’s trending edition Apple Vision Pro is likely to get an M5 upgrade by next year. He further stated that the Apple Vision Pro will be switching from the M2 processor to the fastest M5 chipset which increases the performance levels of the device.

It is also revealed that Apple has delayed the launch of lower-cost Vision Pro headset till 2027. Even though the company has already started working on the production of an affordable alternative to the Vision Pro headset, the latest statement by Ming-Chi Kuo says that users will have to wait longer for the launching of a lower-cost Vision Pro variant. But despite this delay, the company is all set to launch the Apple Vision Pro headset with an upgraded M5 chipset by 2025. Kuo further ensures the users that this might be one of the reasons that the company has delayed the launch of the affordable variants of the Apple Vision Pro headsets. He also sided with the company’s view that just reducing the cost of the product is not enough to convince the users to purchase the product. This was a similar case that happened earlier with Apple’s HomePod. Even though the company produced the cheapest variants of the HomePod, the product failed to lead in the technological market.

M5 Upgrade

The Apple Vision Pro with the M2 chipset was launched earlier this year. The latest device has received much recognition and appreciation worldwide and has supposedly played a major role in increasing the ratings of the company in the technological markets. It was noted down as the world’s first device to offer a reality experience. The Vision Pro became a great choice for users to enjoy the experience of high-quality 3D videos and was gradually rated as one of the most advanced products by Apple. This was considered as one of the products that embraced the future fantasies. The new device allowed the users to engage with the physical space. With weighing around 1.3 pounds, some users have reported certain discomfort from longer use but the device comes with two bands to improve the comfort level of its users. Though the product was not launched in many potential markets around the world, it still managed to become a trending device in the technological community.

In the recent announcement, Ming-Chi Kuo did not put forth any information on whether the new variant with the upgraded M5 processor is to come with new features or changes in the design elements as compared to the previous model. As of now, the new variant is supposed to have higher and improved performance and speed levels as it is powered by one of the fastest processors. Various queries and questions have been raised by the users who were supposedly awaiting the launch of the affordable variant of Apple’s Vision Pro. The company has however ensured the users that they effectively working towards lower-cost Vision Pro headsets.  Bloomsberg Mark Gurman touched down his views on Apple’s upcoming plans for their most trending Vision Pro headsets. Gurman spoke about the chip upgrade but he did not mention the time it would be launching. In his newsletter, he further stated that the company is already on its way to developing the cheapest form of Vision Pro using scaled-down technologies but once again there was no mention of the launching date of the affordable product. Even though users are forced to wait longer for Apple’s affordable version of the Vision Pro, they can expect the release of Apple’s Vision Pro headset with the fastest M5 processor by early 2025.
