Most users are doubtful whether they can take a screenshot on Chromebooks. Well, it is possible and very easy, too. For years, Chromebooks had a basic screenshot tool that could only be launched with not-so-obvious keyboard shortcuts. However, last year Google came up with a new tool to capture screenshots and record the screen as a video clip. To launch the Screen Capture tool, press the three keys: Shift+Control+Show Windows. You can find the Show Windows key on the keyboard’s top row with an icon that appears as a window with two windows stacked behind it. Press the three keys and a toolbar will pop up at the bottom of the screen.

With just three keys (Shift+Control+Show Windows), you can capture the entire screen. If you wish to capture just a part of the screen, press three keys: Shift+Control+Windows Switcher. This will allow you to choose the area you want to capture and once you have made the selection, it will take a screenshot. You can also take a screenshot on a Chromebook without a Windows key. It is easy to capture the entire screen by pressing and holding the “Control” and “Overview” keys together. If you only need to take screenshots of a part of the screen, then press Control+Shift+Overview keys together. After selecting, you will be able to capture a part of the screen. On the other hand, you can easily take a screenshot on a Chromebook even without a keyboard.

All you have to do is press and hold the “Control” and “Window Switch” (or “Search” keys if that does not work). This will help you capture whatever image is currently on the display. If you only wish to take just a part of the screen, then press both “Control” + “Shift” at the same time as you press the “Window Switch”/”Search” key. This will enable you to select and capture any area of the screen.

Taking a screenshot on a Chromebook is simple because of its built-in capture and editing capabilities. You can edit or crop the screenshot by using a tool called “Image Editor”. You can use this tool by pressing and holding down the Control + Window Switch/Search key. This will capture the entire screen and open up the ‘Image Editor’ tool. You can easily crop out any part of the image by simply clicking and dragging across the area you wish to omit. Then, click ‘Crop’ at the top of the screen.
