Motorola AI Models

Recent reports suggest that Motorola is catching up with Samsung and Google by introducing more AI features to its models. It is confirmed that Google’s Circle to Search will soon roll out on certain models of Motorola devices. Smartphones have been an integral part of people for the past years. With the integration of artificial intelligence, these smartphones are gaining more and more prominence by enhancing their user experience. Ranging from virtual assistance like Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant to smart camera features, AI has provided a unique and innovative user experience. Even though most of these features were only available on premium smartphone models, now more companies are introducing smart AI features even on their budget models. The latest one on the list is obviously Motorola.

With the latest announcement on the introduction of AI features at Lenovo Tech World 2024, Motorola has put an end to its users’ long wait. The company confirms that the latest features will be introduced as part of the Moto AI service to enhance user interaction and personalized assistance. However, Motorola has not confirmed an exact time for launching these features or the models that will hold these features.

However, the company has already discussed some of its AI features earlier this year including Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This. while the Catch Me Up feature provides a summary of your notifications based on your priority, Remember This saves live moments and onscreen information for further needs. The Pay Attention feature has also been of great use for the users as it helps to recall instructions and details without the need for notes.

Apart from the announced features, the Circle to Search, Rich Communication Services (RCS), Gemini Live, AI features for Google Photos, and Large Action Models (LAM) are the latest features to be introduced on selected Motorola devices. Among them, the Circle to Search is considered the most useful and awaited update. This feature helps users gain instant information regarding anything on the screen by simply circling it with their fingers. Similarly, the LAM feature enables the phone to understand the requirements of the users through natural conversation and provide it for them. This feature was demonstrated at the Tech World 2024 event with a command “order me an iced americano”. For this command, Moto Ai will locate the nearest cafe, place the order, and notify the users when the order is ready for pickup.

According to expert opinion, these features will enhance the user experience of Motorola devices. It helps manage the device with natural language commands and discover, connect, and control smartphones and smart home devices. So, Moto AI will be a hybrid AI that will escalate the productivity, creativity, and ease of its users. However, concerns regarding the authenticity of these claims still exist as Motorola officials have not disclosed further details such as the devices that include these features and the estimated time frame required to launch these features.

However, Motorola is not the first company to introduce these features. Some of these Google AI assistant features were introduced first by Samsung through their Galaxy S24 series earlier this January. Later Pixel and other models of Samsung Galaxy also came up with similar features. Later in September, Xiaomi and then Honor also introduced their AI features. Honor also revised its plans to introduce the features in its Magic V3 foldable and Honor 200 series.
