OnePlus Set To Release OxygenOS 15 Update On October 24th

Renowned Chinese technological company, OnePlus recently announced the official launching of the software OxygenOS 15, which would take place in a special event on 24th October 2024 at 3:30 PM. The event will be streamed online for audiences around the globe. The company has put forward that OxygenOs 15 is based on Android 15 and its major goal is to incorporate new features and enhance the design elements. In September 2023, the company launched the release of OxygenOS 14 but the rollout process was completed earlier this year.

The Chinese smartphone maker has already revealed the special features offered by OxygenOS 15 before the official release. The software will introduce improved performance levels and high-quality animations using software algorithms technology. This makes the animations much more smoother. It also features AI technologies that can be backed up in different applications.

Recently Oppo, another leading Chinese technological company launched ColorOS 15 UI based on Android 15 with enhanced features and advanced AI technologies. This software update has a few features similar to that of OxygenOS 15 and most smartphones in China use this software update. Considering these facts, the OnePlus company has thereby come to the forefront of featuring its own software different from the usually preferred software.

According to the inner sources, it is expected that the OnePlus 13 will be the first edition to feature the OxygenOS 15. The OnePlus 13 will be released this month in China. The introduction of a highly advanced and newer generation of software is also said to mark a milestone in the history of the Chinese smartphone-maker company.

The OnePlus users around the globe can expect a variety of new features with the OxygenOS 15 software update. It is said that the new update has taken many features inspired by iOS and HyperOS. Apart from the changes in design elements and animations, the update might bring some major changes to the control center settings. Inspired by iOS and HyperOS, the control center will have two toggles, a 1×2 brightness slider, and a 1×2 volume panel. The newly designed control center might also have a 1×1 toggle for faster settings and the users can further customize it according to their preference. 

Reports also state that the developers of OnePlus are planning a volume panel and the feature of Live Photos taking inspiration from iOS. The volume panel will feature a dynamic slider similar to iOS software. Live Photos, a unique feature of iOS will be adopted by the new software OnePlus which allows the camera to capture moving scenes with still images. OxygenOS 15 software might also bring changes to the lock screen customizations and the addition of look screen options. This will allow users to set the lock screen according to their preferences and they will also have a wide range of options to choose from.

The software update has also included a similar feature of interactive notifications once again inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island. The company has also released yet another exciting news for their users about the new update bringing back the Easter Egg that includes the “Never Settle” logo. The software is still going through the beta testing procedures and these features can be expected after their official launching. The makers have also revealed that OnePlus Nord 4, Nord 3, Nird CE4 Lite, Nord CE 3, OnePlus Pad, and OnePlus Pad2 would be eligible for receiving the OxygenOS software update. The OnePlus users can look forward to experiencing the new features and advanced AI technologies the software upholds as the days are not far from now.
