Perplexity Enables Internal Knowledge Search, A Feature That Enhances Productivity!

Perplexity AI is one of the most powerful and trusted AI platforms right now. It is well known for its accurate and relevant search results. Advanced features like providing personalized answers are the face of Perplexity AI.

In 2024, Perplexity AI will come with a new feature called an internal knowledge search. That enables both Perplexity Pro and Enterprise Pro users to search for information in their internal databases and across the web.

This feature mainly aims to enhance corporate work and provide a better experience in it. The user experience can be eased with this feature since they can access both the information in a single platform.

Internal Knowledge Search Explained

Perplexity

Internal knowledge search is the latest feature implemented exclusively for Perplexity Pro and Enterprise Pro users. This helps both to search for internal information and combine it with the knowledge available on the internet.

This opens the door for comprehensive research, enhanced collaboration, and increased productivity. Combining the internal information from the respective firm and the Internet database will create authentic and customized information that is tailored to cater to the requirements of the firm.

The company claims that the enhanced search capability of Perplexity AI along with the integration of internal data can empower the team with adequate knowledge which ultimately leads to the increased productivity of the organization.

To use this feature effectively, Perplexity recommends organization administrators upload their data. Then with the Deselect web option, Perplexity will use this authentic document as the primary source.

With the Deselect Org Files option, Perplexity uses web sources. After uploading those files, Perplexity can determine the answers based on the relevance of the needed information and provide comprehensive responses.

Perplexity offers the provision for attaching up to five files per thread directly in the search bar. These files will only stored temporarily and deleted after seven days.

The organization or enterprise administrators will be able to update the maximum number of 500 files that can be accessible to all users within the organization. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CSV, and PDF files will be supported in the internal knowledge search. The file size should not exceed 25 MB.

Organizational analysis based on internal knowledge and external insights

With this pro feature, organizations can determine the customer approach and provide the appropriate feedback. The firm can find out the improvements that need to be executed with the help of web insights, uploading the existing data will provide room for analyzing the existing data. Perplexity can suggest tailored modifications by analyzing both data.

Production of better content in faster ways by analyzing the existing data and web resources

Enterprises can quickly evaluate the current performance and strategy using the in-firm data and seek recommendations for enhancing the existing performance. Personalized recommendations according to the previous actions will increase the productivity of the organization within a short period.

Aravind Srinivas, the CEO of Perplexity claimed that the organizations had to use two separate ways to access the internal and external information during their evaluations and analyses, but with the integration of this feature, both internal and external information can be accessed and analyzed through a single platform.

As part of the early access period and services, companies like Dell, Databricks, and Nvidia have collaborated with Perplexity. They used this new feature to research due diligence, update sales materials, and find information about the employment benefits programs. They used both their in-firm database and internet information during the process.
