AI-Driven Features in Android 15

With fast fashion and ever-evolving science and technology, people always follow the latest trends, whether in fashion, gadgets, or other fields. So, similar to any other field, smartphones, and their software also undergo periodic changes. With the first version of the Android mobile operating system, Android 1.0 introduced in September 2008, Google has brought yearly cadence every year, at least after 2011.

Now, Android has introduced its 15th update, Android 15 recently. The period Andriod update is essential for maintaining the smooth functioning and security of the devices. With every update, Google introduces multiple features that help improve the overall performance of the devices.

These updates fix bugs, improve battery life, enhance camera performance, and support the overall stability of the devices. However, on some occasions, this might not be the case. Instead of providing better performance, some updates may cause troubles and issues in some devices. The latest Android 15 has been accused of some such problems.

Google introduced the Android 15 in Pixel phones recently, intending to fix some of the existing issues and enhance the performance. However, recent reports suggest that this move has affected some of the older versions of Pixel phones. Several customers comment that the new update has made their devices unusable. They note that the Android 15 version has bricked their smartphones.

The Pixel 6 series owners complained the most about these issues. According to some users, their phones stopped working after enabling a new feature introduced in Android 15, while others commented that their phones stopped working abruptly after the update.

Online platforms including Reddit are flooded with the messages of Pixel users. According to these comments, Pixel 6 unit users are extensively affected by the latest Android update. Although the upgrade has been beneficial for various Android users, Pixel users are at stake.

Some Reddit comments suggest that some of the Pixel phones have become completely unresponsive after the update. As the real reason behind the issue is yet to be identified, most of these smartphones have no clear fix.

A Reddit user commented that enabling the Private Space feature was the reason behind their phone becoming unresponsive. They shared that they enabled the Private Space feature, which helps to mask private apps after the Android 15 update. However, the user could not use it as their phone stopped working after trying to open an app stored in the secure folder.

Some users who faced similar situations also added that the troubleshooting tips to reboot or restart the device were also not working after this. Another user commented that their phone stopped working while using and the technicians were unable to repair it. While these were the complaints reported by Pixel 6a users, similar issues were also faced by the Pixel 6 pro users after the latest Android 15 update.

A Pixel 6 Pro user commented that their handset stopped working abruptly while working, even though it had sufficient battery. They also noted that Google’s technical instructions were of no use, for which other Pixel 6 Pro users also agreed and stated that they also had to face similar issues. However, some other comments make it uncertain whether the real cause of this problem is the use of Private Space or not.

Some users who have never used this feature also faced issues with their Pixel handset after the update. A user commented that their phone stopped working after noticing two blue static bars on their display after the upgrade.

Although Google was not ready to comment immediately, the recent publication recommends that Pixel 6 users stop upgrading to the latest version of Android and stop using the Private Space feature if they have already upgraded to Android 15. However, this is not the first time that Pixel 6 and 6 Pro users are facing issues with the software update. Last year several smartphones from the 6 series had to face storage bug problems, which was solved with another software update.
