Who is Sriram Krishnan?
Sriram Krishnan is a Chennai-born Indian-American entrepreneur and VC who is well-known in the Indian American community. He graduated in Information Technology from Anna University and started his career in 2007 with Microsoft as a program manager for Visual Studio. He left for the US at the age of 21 and later led several product teams, including Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, and Snap, and also hosted a popular podcast named ‘The Aarathi and Sriram Show’ with his wife Arathi Ramamurthy. The podcast was formerly known as “The Good Time Show’, and it features notable tech leaders, including Elon Musk.
Also, he was a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and joined the firm in 2021 where he was chosen to head its head of its office in 2023. He left the firm in late November, and recently Sriram Krishnan shared his excitement about being appointed as a senior policy advisor for AI at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
