The Role of Technology in the Early Learning Process

Considering the growing pace of technology and the increasing demands of digital tools, educators and experts have started considering their importance and have decided to expand the dimensions of the learning process induced by technological demands.

Recently the annual Association of China and Mongolia International Schools conducted a technology conference at Renaissance College in Hongkog, China. Various kinds of workshops and discussions that happened through the Whova App allowed the participants and speakers to directly participate in the events according to their preferences.

As per the reports, the initiative behind such an essential conference was taken by a group of passionate educators who wanted to display the power of technology in enhancing the possibilities of the early learning process.

The knowledge received from early childhood education will have a profound and lasting impact on the individual and their characteristics. It is true to say that the growing and enhanced technological tools have the power to revolutionize young minds and offer various benefits in building up an effective learning system.

Forbes Advisor on October 2023 conducted a survey that involved around 500 practicing educators from around the US. these educators were surveyed based on their experiences of indulging AI technologies in the classrooms. The results were quite surprising and showed that advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence had a great impact on the educational systems.

Considering the data and surveys, we can witness greater changes in every field that have occurred to the enhancement of technology. The estimates show that AI technologies have largely been used by the health sectors and various other fields. The educational sector is far behind in terms of employing accurate technological aspects in the learning process. Queries and concerns have started to be raised by several experts around the world regarding this matter.

According to the data and survey collected by an article shows that in most cases many teachers find it difficult to integrate technology into the early learning process. They are concerned about the impact of technology on their younger learners and find it hard to implement digital learning systems.

In today’s world, kids aged between 1 to 10 years have already become quite familiar with electronic devices and they presumably are aware of the technologies needed to use them. Some teachers shared their concern about the kids already being overly attached to electronic devices.

Considering such concerns and obstacles put forward by the teachers, educators around the globe have already many effective and essential ways to implement technology in their curriculums. Each year new initiatives are taken to enhance the use of digital tools in the educational sector in a manner that benefits the students.

Many schools and institutions around the world employ smart classrooms and learning processes for their students. Critics have raised major questions regarding the gradual shift from the traditional learning process to the use of digital tools in the educational system. However, experts and educators are of the view that people need to understand how technology can be integrated essentially to a better learning process.

According to them, the traditional teaching system will not disappear but instead inscribing technological knowledge into the students during their early learning process will help them better for the fast-growing digital world. Sheena Eve Rubet who had the chance to be a presenter at the recent ACAMIS Technology Conference showed the interesting ways in which technology can be introduced into the early learning classroom experiences.

She also explained how a child may view and interact with technology in her recently published article. The gaming experiences and the board activities on digital devices further help them to deal with advanced devices and complete complex tasks. The rapid growth of the technological arenas urges educators to come up with new initiatives to implement them into their classroom learning experiences in such a way that the students can benefit well from their early learning experiences.
