iPhone Better Battery Life

Electronic gadgets, especially smartphones have become an integral part of human life. From shopping for groceries to paying for everyday products and services, smartphones are so much a part of everyone’s lives. So, even a day without smartphones is unimaginable for humans. This shows the importance of smartphones in aiding the smooth functioning of everyday life. So, more than having any smartphone, people tend to choose those with a high battery backup.

Thanks to the iPhone because its battery is designed in such a way to last throughout the day. Although various factors including usage, connectivity, screen brightness, and the age of the device largely influence the battery life of a device, the majority of users suggest that iPhones normally provide a decent battery life.

However, complaints of fast draining of batteries are a common problem among users these days. Although this problem is faced by older versions of devices, people face a lot of difficulties with the battery draining issue. The most opted option to overcome this issue is changing the phone. However, experts suggest that the problem can be rectified to a certain extent without switching the devices.

Some methods including the use of portable chargers in case of emergency and a fast-charging puck for instant battery boost have been tested and proven to help in the short term. Furthermore, adjusting certain settings of the iPhone settings will also help enhance its battery performance.

Most of these settings are found in iPhone iOS 17.5. Furthermore, keeping an eye on the Battery Health menu on iPhones is also identified to analyze and support battery life as it shows the device’s battery health and suggests whether the battery is normal or not. Some other tips that help to unlock the battery life of the iPhone better include avoiding widgets from the lock screen and turning off the keyboard vibration.

Avoid Widget Usage From The iPhone Lock Screen

All the widgets added to the lock screen of an iPhone force the apps in it to work in the background. These apps that run in the background drain the battery of the device as they collect data and information to update the widgets on the lock screen. This power drain is identified to be a major reason for the reduced battery life of the iPhone. The best way to avoid this battery drain is by removing the widgets from the lock screen and also from the home screen. This can be done by following some simple steps.

  • It can be controlled by choosing a lock screen with no widgets by pressing your finger down and swiping sideways to switch to a separate lock screen.
  • The other method is to remove widgets from the existing lock screen. For this press down on the left screen then press customize, then the Lock Screen option, and then hit the hyphen sign on the widget box.

Turn Off The Keyboard Vibration

The recent versions of the iPhone from iOS 16 introduced the vibration effect while typing. Although this may provide an immersive experience for the users while typing, the same feature is identified to affect the smartphone’s battery performance to a great extent. The reports on the Apple support page also had similar comments regarding the keyboard vibration feature. So, experts suggest that it is better to disable this feature. The steps to disable this feature are:

  • Go to settings
  • Then select Sounds & haptics from the settings
  • From this option select Keyboard Feedback
  • Then turn off Haptic to disable the keyboard vibration option

Keeping an eye on some of the general settings will also help to maintain the iPhone’s good battery life. Some of them include:

  • Updating to the latest software that includes energy-saving modes and other features.
  • Avoid using the phone in extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid using certain phone cases that increase heating.
  • Avoid storing the phone without charge or fully charged if not used. It is ideal to store iPhones with half charge.
