VIVO V20 PRO

Recently Tenaa, a Chinese certification platform, approved a smartphone with a model number V2429A on their official website. According to the sources, the model is rumored to be Vivo’s upcoming S20 series. The new model is expected to be launched as the Vivo S20, a successor to the Vivo S19 which was released earlier this year.

The speculations are expected to be true as the same model has also been approved by China’s 3C certification platform which also gave an additional hint about the charging capabilities of the upcoming smartphone. According to the specifications listed on the 3C certification website, the upcoming Vivo V2429A smartphone will have upgraded charging capabilities that provide support up to 90w fast charging. The previous model S19 series provided 80W fast charging support.

Faster Charging Capabilities

The Vivo S19 series which consists of the standard and the Pro model was released in China in May 2024. The series received much appreciation from the technological community for its higher-density batteries and fast charging capabilities. The Vivo S19 Pro model was the first smartphone with the Sony IMX921 sensor. The company has also used the highly advanced Blue Ocean technology for higher-density batteries in their smartphones.

The specifications of the smartphone V2429A which is currently rumored to be the upcoming V20 series of Vivo have also been revealed on the official website of Tenaa’s certification website. According to the listed specifications, the new model is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution. This screen specification is slightly similar to Vivo’s X200 model. The device may also feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. While the previous V19 standard model was powered by the same chipset, the Pro model featured the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processors.

The storage space for the upcoming model is expected to range from 16GB RAM up to 1TB onboard storage capacities. The upgraded battery charging capabilities might be one of the standing features of the smartphone that is said to come with a 6,500mAh battery and offer 90W fast charging support. If the rumored specifications turned out to be true, the battery capacities will be witnessing a better upgrade as compared to the previous models. Vivo has always remained at the forefront of the technological market for providing high-quality camera applications to most of their smartphones.

The upcoming model is expected to feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front and the back panel is said to feature a 50-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual camera system. The upcoming model might also run on Origin OS 5-base Android 15 software and is most likely to contain the IR blaster feature and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The rumored V20 series is expected to weigh around 186 grams and might measure 7.19 in thickness.

Even though the specifications have been revealed on the certification website, there has been no confirmation regarding the accuracy of these features for the upcoming model. However the fact the smartphone with model number V2429A has been approved by two essential certification platforms, there are high chance that the model to be the upcoming series of Vivo.

The technological markets can expect the release of the upcoming Vivo V20 series by the end of this year. The company has been rapid in launching new successors to its previous model so the users can expect the release of the new model soon in the coming days. Although not officially confirmed, according to the recent reports by Vivo’s release cycle for the S series, the V20 series might witness an official launch by late November or early December 2024.
