Xbox Game Pass Adds Another Two Games Today

Those who tune into game shows and announcements would feel like hailstones falling from all sides with so many events and news on the latest releases and updations. Microsoft on its Xbox announced this Monday, 14 October, gave out a new Xbox Partner Preview with the upcoming console and game reveals. They are releasing games this month till the end of the year and have also listed some games that are supposed to be released in 2025.

As promised, Xbox Game Pass introduced two new games today. They have added Donut County and MechWarrior 5: Clans to the list of games on Xbox Game Pass today.

Donut County is a story-based physics puzzle game. The game was previously there and is returning to the Game Pass library. It will be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Standard, and PC subscribers. The player will control a hole in the ground and the hole enlarges as it collects objects or prizes. The character to be played is BK, a raccoon that steals trash and throws it into the hole.

The game is comic-filled as BK throws houses and even his friends into the hole to earn rewards. Once BK fell into the hole and met his friends and residents of the Donut County there, 999 feet underground.

The game is interesting as the player gets to navigate each character’s home with unique features and environments. The hole is to be moved to swallow every stuff out there and as a process, the hole gets bigger. To unlock crazy effects, the player needs to combine objects like cooking soup or launching fireworks. The things thrown into the hole can be taken out to solve puzzles or to simply destroy things. The hole can only be stopped until the whole Donut County is taken.

For those who love action games rather than comic ones, Xbox released MechWarrior 5: Clans on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC. This game introduces each player to a new universe where clan wars occur. The player will be a pilot who just graduated from the Smoke Jaguar cadet program.

The pilot is pushed into Operation Revival, where he encounters Clan Invasion of the Inner Sphere. This happens in the MechWarrior universe and leads to a five-mech ‘Star’ squad across numerous planets. The game gets attention as each planet has diverse biomes and each planet is met with a campaign of great gameplay and combat encounters.

The characters are equipped with customizable BattleMechs, which are of great technological advancements and strategic moves. The game is created using Unreal Engine, a video game development tool with a 3D graphics tool, making the landscape of each planet surreal and the battles worth the experience.

It also moves in a narrative that develops the behavior of each character and captures their moral dilemmas. MechWarrior 5: Clans is a game with enhanced features like MechLab, Hardpoint, and OmniPod systems.

Both these games are available to be played by a single player. MechWarrior 5: Clans is also available to be played as a multiplayer co-op or online co-op of two to five players. The same game also has Xbox cross-platform co-op features and Xbox Play Anywhere features. Both the games can be saved to the Xbox cloud. Xbox achievements are available for both the games and Xbox presence is available for Donut County.

Donut County is themed as an action and adventure game and is preferred for kids and families, whereas MechWarrior 5: Clans is a shooter game and themed under simulation games that imitate real-world activities. The Windows version of Donut County does not support Xbox achievements.
